Students thinking about further study after they leave school have a lot of decisions to make.
StudyLink’s website is a great place to visit to get you thinking about what it will cost to live and study. StudyLink can help you work out if study is right for you and how you'll support yourself. How much money you may need to support yourself could surprise you. Once you’ve made the decision to study it’s a good idea to sign up to receive emails from StudyLink. This way you won’t miss out on important information, like when to apply and documents you need to send.

  1. Law Career Event

    Dear Careers Advisors,

This is a reminder about our invite to you and your students to attend our Otago Law Career event at the University of Otago Faculty of Law, Moot Court, on Friday 3 August 1-3pm.

Thank you to those who have already responded. If you have not done so already, we would appreciate it if you could give us an indication of how many of your students might attend, by emailing David Turner at law.careers@otago.ac.nz.

During the interactive session, we will discuss real legal cases with the students and talk to them about how Otago's law degree works and the career opportunities it can lead to. These career opportunities not only include legal practice but also a wide range of exciting careers in business, government, and even international organisations. We will answer the students' questions, and they can also talk to our law students and lecturers.

The career event is open to year 12 and 13 students who have not yet decided what they would like to do in life, but feel that a tertiary education is an important next step. Parents are also invited to attend.

Please RSVP or send enquiries to David Turner, at law.careers@otago.ac.nz and tell us how many of your year 12 or 13 students will attend the session. Your students can also register for the event online.

The event is at the Moot Court, 10th Floor Richardson Building. Please let us know if you would like more information to help broadcast this to your students.

We look forward to meeting you and your students.
